Hasle Refractories is the data controller of the information we collect about you, and we ensure that your personal data is processed in compliance with applicable legislation.

Personal data

Personal data are all kinds of information which are somehow related to you.

We collect various general information about you such as contact details.

We typically collect and process the following types of information: A unique ID and technical data about your computer, tablet or mobile phone, your IP number, geographical position and the sites you click on (interests). To the extent that you give your express consent and enter the information on the website, we also process: Name, company name, address, email and free text notes. For example, when you use our contact form.

Security

We have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent accidental or unlawful erasure, publication, loss, deterioration or unauthorised disclosure, abuse or any other unlawful processing of your data. We will save your personal data on computers with restricted access which are located in supervised facilities, and our security measures will be monitored regularly to determine whether our user information is handled properly and with continued regard to your rights as a user. However, we cannot guarantee 100% security in all data transfers on the Internet. This means that there may be a risk of unauthorised access to data when data are being sent and stored electronically. You thus give your personal data at your own risk.

Data minimisation

We collect, process and store personal data only where necessary to achieve our objectives. In certain circumstances, we may be under a statutory obligation to collect and store certain types of data for our business activities. The type and scope of the personal data we process may also be determined by the need to fulfil a contract or other legal obligation.

Period for which the personal data are stored

The data are stored for the period permitted under applicable legislation, and we erase the data when they are no longer necessary. The period depends on the nature of the data and the reason for storage. Therefore, it is impossible to state a general time frame for when data will be erased.

Consent

Disclosure of information
We use a number of third party providers of data storage and processing services, including IT solution providers. These providers process only data on our behalf and must not use the data for their own purposes. In relevant cases, data are disclosed to banks, debt collection agencies, including credit rating agencies, haulage contractors and freight companies.

The disclosure of personal data to third parties for other purposes requires your consent.

Your rights

You always have a right to access the data we process about you and the right to know where the data come from and how your data are being used. You also have the right to know how long we intend to keep your personal data and to whom we disclose data when we disclose data in Denmark or other countries.

On your request, we will inform you of the data we process about you. The access to information may, however, be restricted to protect the privacy of other persons, business secrets or intellectual property rights.

You may exercise your rights by contacting us. Our contact details are listed above.

If you believe that the personal data we process about you are inaccurate, you have the right to have the data rectified. You should contact us to inform of the nature of the inaccuracies and how to rectify them.

In some cases, we have an obligation to delete your personal data; for instance if you withdraw a consent you have given. If you believe that data are no longer required for the purpose that we collected them for, you may ask to have them erased. You may also contact us if you believe that personal data are being processed contrary to the law or other legal obligations.

You also have the right to complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency.

When you ask to have your personal data rectified or erased, we check whether the conditions are met and then make changes or erasure as promptly as possible.

You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data. You may also object to our disclosure of your data for marketing purposes. You may use the contact details above to send an objection. If your objection is legitimate, we will make sure to cease processing your personal data.

You have the right to data portability if you wish to transfer your data to another data controller or processor.

We delete personal data at our own motion when they are no longer required for the purpose for which they were collected.
